Gutena Forms Pro v1.5.0

Gutena Forms Pro v1.5.0 Is Here: Build Multi-Step Forms with the New Step Break Field

Long forms can be a pain.

Nobody wants to stare at one endless page packed with fields, questions, and dropdowns.

That’s why we’ve added a new way to break complex forms into smaller sections. Gutena Forms Pro v1.5.0 introduces the new Step Break field, which lets you turn a long form into a clear, easy-to-follow multi-step experience.

Instead of showing every field at once, you can split your form into steps and guide visitors through them one section at a time.

You can also customize how those steps look and work.

What’s New in Gutena Forms Pro v1.5.0

The headline feature in this release is Multi-Step Forms.

With the new Step Break field, you can:

  • Divide long forms into multiple steps
  • Add separate titles for each step
  • Display step labels in a progress indicator
  • Choose between individual steps or a progress bar
  • Customize the Next button label
  • Customize the Back button label
  • Guide users through long forms one step at a time

This gives you more control over how visitors move through your forms without making the form-building process complicated.

Create Multi-Step Forms with Step Break Field

Adding multiple steps takes just a few clicks.

Start by creating or opening a form in the WordPress block editor. Add the fields you need for the first section, then insert a Step Break where you want the next section to start.

That’s it.

Fields before the first Step Break appear in Step 1. Fields after a Step Break appear in the following step. Add more Step Break fields whenever you need additional sections.

For example, a registration form could be organized like this:

  • Step 1: Personal Information
  • Step 2: Contact Details
  • Step 3: Additional Information

This structure makes longer forms feel much more manageable.

Customize Your Multi-Step Form

Once you’ve divided your form into steps, you can customize how users move through it and how they see their progress. Gutena Forms Pro gives you control over step titles, progress indicators, and navigation buttons, so you can create a flow that fits your form.

Show Step Labels

Step labels help users understand where they are in the form.

Enable Step Labels to display your step titles in the progress indicator. Users can see the different sections as they move through the form.

Choose a Progress Indicator

You can choose how users see their progress through the form.

Gutena Forms Pro offers two options:

  • Steps: Displays individual steps with their titles.
  • Progress Bar: Displays a visual progress bar instead.

Choose the option that works best for your form.

Add Clear Step Titles

Give each step a title that tells users what information they need to provide.

You can set the title for the first step from the main Form block settings. Each Step Break controls the title of the step that follows it.

For example:

  • Step 1: Personal Information
  • Step 2: Contact Details
  • Step 3: Preferences

This gives users a clear idea of what’s coming next.

Customize Next and Back Buttons

You can also change the labels on your navigation buttons.

The Next Button Label controls the text users see when moving to the next step, while the Back Button Label controls the text used to return to the previous step.

You could keep the labels simple:

  • Next
  • Back

Or make them more descriptive:

  • Continue
  • Previous
  • Continue to Contact Details
  • Return to Personal Information

Use labels that make sense for the flow of your form.

Multi-Step Forms for Different Use Cases

The new Step Break field can work across many types of forms.

Registration Forms

Separate personal details, contact information, and account preferences into different steps.

Booking Forms

Collect customer information first, then booking details and additional requirements.

Surveys

Group related questions together instead of presenting one long list.

Application Forms

Break an application into personal information, experience, documents, and additional details.

The same idea works for any form where showing every field at once would make the page feel too long.

Built for a Better Form-Filling Experience

A multi-step form doesn’t need to feel complicated.

The goal is simple: show users what they need now and let them deal with the rest later.

With Step Break, you can organize related fields into smaller sections, add clear step titles, and give users visible progress as they work through the form.

And because everything remains part of the same form, you can keep managing your fields and submissions from Gutena Forms as usual.
